16749049013_a59262541f_zFeed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and FMSC ships these meals to their distribution partners.
VCC volunteers at FMSC on a regular basis. It’s a perfect thing to do as a family, kids 5 years old and up can be a part of this process!

We will all meet at FMSC
FMSC is located at:
1345 S Alma School Rd, Mesa, AZ 85210
Upon entering, you’ll check in. As a part of FDA guidelines, it is necessary for you to wear one of FMSC’s provided hairnets and to remove all jewelry (there are some small zip lock baggies that are provided).
Here is the outline of the session:
Orientation: there is about a 15-20 minute orientation where you’ll be able to learn more about FMSC and watch a video on how to pack the food.
Pack food: We will all wash our hands and pack food! There are active jobs in the warehouse (closed toe shoes required) as well as a sit-down job.
Closing: The FMSC host will tell us how much food we packed, and share a final story of transformation.
Prayer: After the closing, we are invited to pray over the food we packed. We all get to walk back into the packing room and pray over one of the pallets.
